Hello!

Hello and welcome to my site!

It has truly been a crazy summer. I just finished up my first year of teaching (thank goodness) in July, so I have a little bit of time before things start back up in August! Because I am switching schools, I'm spending most of my time in the summer organizing my classroom books and trying to sift through everything I brought home. I had to take my ENTIRE classroom, so our entire home office is filled with all of my classroom materials.

During my first year teaching, something I really struggled with was organization. There was so much happening all at once that I didn't really have a chance to make my classroom what I wanted it to be, and I constantly felt like things weren't very organized or efficient. My least favorite area in the classroom last year was my reading corner, so I'm really trying to make that extra special this year! I had books ALL over the classroom because I couldn't fit them all in the small corner I made. I bit the bullet and purchased TONS of these book bins from Really Good Stuff. I am modeling my library after seeing this one from Kinder-Craze! I have used these adorable labels from her on Teachers Pay Teachers to label books by theme/category. I also have bins for my students to pick from with levels so they can find the best books for them! Each book has a sticker on it referring to which bin it goes on. I have bins in this adorable gray color and I just got a creme color too! I'm planning on using both to add to my explorer-themed room! Stay tuned for pictures!
